Recognition for our commitment to transparent ESG reporting

This month, I had the privilege of travelling to Germany to accept the ESG Transparency Award 2025 from the EUPD Research Group on behalf of Zelestra. As well as an opportunity to meet with other leading organisations, and to learn from them, it was also an opportunity to reflect on what true transparency means in a rapidly changing sustainability landscape.

The award honours companies that treat sustainability as a more than a compliance checkbox. It recognises companies that weave these practices into the fabric of their organisation, and are open to scrutiny through honest, forward-looking reporting.

According to the organisers, winners stand out because they show that sustainability is not merely a regulatory duty. It is a strategic advantage, and increasingly, a defining one.

This message resonates deeply at Zelestra.

The ESG Transparency Evaluation Standard, built on more than 350 audit criteria across five clusters (Transparency, Environmental, Social, Governance and Regulatory Landscape), is one of the most rigorous frameworks in Europe. To be recognised under such a demanding lens is both an honour and a benchmark for what we aspire to keep delivering.

It is clear that achievements like this never belong to a single person or team. They belong to the hundreds of people across Zelestra who, day after day, uphold our values and ensure that our ethics, our governance and our sustainability commitments are not just articulated but lived.

Our 2024 Progress Report captures the momentum behind our Purpose: to make decarbonisation a reality for our partners.

The report illustrates that we do this by showing up as responsible corporate citizens and neighbours. Our governance systems are strong and continually improving. Our environmental responsibilities are approached with rigor and humility. And our relationships with communities and stakeholders grow deeper every year. That is the real engine behind this recognition.

So to everyone in Zelestra: thank you. Your work has helped position us as a European leader in transparent, sustainable business practice. This award is not the destination, it’s confirmation that we’re on the right path, and a reminder to keep pushing the boundaries of what credible sustainability leadership looks like.
